Puppy "Boot Camp" Begins April 2 at Garrett College
Get your puppy started out on the right paw with "Puppy Boot Camp" at Garrett College this spring! The class includes puppy socialization exercises as well as instruction in basic commands such as name recognition and recall, sit, stay and down. Problem behaviors are also addressed. This class is appropriate preparation for other dog obedience classes offered by Garrett College, but is not a pre-requisite.
Beginning Monday, April 2, the class will meet two times a week on Mondays and Thursdays during the month of April for a fun and intensive practice and discussion session covering the required commands and instructional hand-outs. Students are asked to commit to working with their puppies for a few minutes at home each day to reinforce class instruction and be prepared to demonstrate their puppies improvement over time at class.
The Boot Camp is open to puppies ages 3 to 8 months old at the start of class. Class size is limited so, please contact the Continuing Education Department at Garrett College at 301.387.3087 as soon as possible!
If April is not suitable to begin training your puppy, another Boot Camp will be held in May, 2012.
